The SAAS Streetline series of gauges give you the choice of 7-different LED backlighting colours by using the button on the front of the gauge. These colours include blue, red, green, purple, ice-blue, pale green, and white.

The exhaust gas temperature EGT gauge is important as it shows how hot the combustion process is in the combustion chambers, and how much ignition is still present in the exhaust manifold. Fluctuations in the EGT need to be addressed as they can be caused by variations in the air/fuel mixture – running rich or running lean – which can lead to failures in the turbocharger to catastrophic failure in pistons if high EGT is sustained.

• Exhaust temperature sender thread is 1/8” NPT
• Designed for 12-volt systems only
• Recommended sensor locations
  • Turbo vehicles – exhaust dump pipe or exhaust manifold
    • Fitment in exhaust dump pipe doesn’t require removal of the turbocharger, will have extended sensor life and slightly lower temp readings 
    • Fitment in the exhaust manifold is harder than in the exhaust dump pipe, and the manifold may need to be removed to clean out metal shavings. This method will also lead to shorter sensor life and higher temp readings.
• Non-turbo vehicles – fit to a thin-walled section of the exhaust manifold where all the pipes meet.
