The dependable 4-pin ignition module and internal coil work together to produce a strong spark to light the fuel mixture for great performance. The high voltage is transferred through a new rotor to the brass terminals of the red distributor cap and out to the plugs.

The engineers at MSD understand the importance of centrifugal advance in a distributor, so the advance assembly has coated weights and welded weight pins, not just pressed like other models, and its supplied with the same heavy duty distributor gear that is used on the MSD Pro-billet models - with years of refinement into its metallurgy for durability and to perform through the harshest conditions.

This kit is also supplied with a vacuum advance stop plate (Part number MSD-84281), which can be installed at 4 positions to limit the vacuum advance.

Fitment Notes:

• The mechanical advance of the MSD Street Fire HEI distributor is tuned to provide 22-degree at 4,000RPM.
• To adjust the centrifugal advance of the unit an optional centrifugal advance kit is also available (Part #MSD8428).
• The Street Fire HEI distributor is not intended for extreme RPM or racing applications. In these applications the MSD Pro-billet HEI distributor is required.
