A turbo is an engine component that increases a car’s power output by compressing the air that enters the engine. It is essentially a type of forced induction system that uses exhaust gases to spin a turbine, which in turn drives a compressor. This compressor pushes more air into the engine, allowing more fuel to be burned and creating more power. By increasing the amount of air and fuel that can be burned, a turbocharger can significantly boost the performance of the engine of a car.

The Aeroflow Performance Boosted Turbochargers have been designed specifically for enthusiasts who want optimal performance at a competitive price. A tailored range of Boosted Turbochargers designed with a variety of compressor and turbine wheel sizes, housing configurations, and wastegate options have been created by Aeroflow Performance to meet your specific power goals, driving style and budget.

The Boosted Turbocharger range has a point milled 7075 billet aluminum compressor wheel featuring the latest aerodynamic design and extended tip technology that maximises horsepower and boost response throughout the rev range. The point milling process uses multiple passes of the CNC tool over the compressor blade, and although this increases machining time and cost, it increases flow by up to 15-35% cfm, and allows the turbo to spool faster when compared to a typical flack milled compressor wheel. The 9-blade turbine wheel is constructed from Inconel, a super-alloy that maintains its strength during prolonged exposure to extremely high exhaust gas temperatures.

The Boosted Turbo range is available in 360deg journal bearing, dual and triple ceramic ball bearing cartridges designed to prolong the turbo lifespan and improve shaft balance. Also, oil/water or oil-cooled versions are available to help keep temperatures to a minimum, and a ported shroud compressor cover housing which increases surge resistance and provides reliable, continuous power throughout the engine’s RPM range.

The range is available in natural aluminium or high temp black compressor color options.

This Aeroflow Boosted 6662 turbocharger has a recommended engine displacement of 2.0L to 4.5L, with a recommended horsepower rating of 450-900HP.

• This Boosted ball bearing turbocharger from Aeroflow Performance does not feature an internal oil flow restrictor. A -4AN fitting is provided with a built in external oil feed restrictor and must be used to ensure oil does not push past the seals and shorten the life span of the turbocharger. Should you choose not to use the provided -4AN fitting then an external oil feed restrictor (AF399-04 or AF399-03, available for purchase separately) must be installed in the turbo oil feed line at the engine side and turbo side of the line.
• Failure to use a suitable restrictor will void the warranty. Boosted turbochargers that feature water cooling ports must have these ports connected to the water cooling system in order to cool the turbocharger core. Failure to connect any and all of these ports will void all warranties.
