By: Raymo shaw on 31 December 2023I’ve just rebuilt my 80 series rear diff with a torque lock rear diff. I used the vehicle for the first time this weekend in the wilds. I can tell you first hand from experience that I’ve spent the last 8 years travelling the wilds throughout the Victorian goldfields looking for abandoned gold mines & history. It put to the test this weekend & wow what huge difference the diff has made to the vehicle . As soon as I lost traction the other side kicked in & we drove out in two wheel drive.
