Spools are an alternative to a locker for traction and performance enhancement. TTi's high quality mini spools are a favourite of off-road competitors, dirt track racers and drag racers. A differential with a mini spool setup delivers equal power and traction to both left and right-side rear wheels. Spool solutions are less expensive than lockers and weigh less.
The mini spool replaces the original spider gears in an open carrier differential, locking together both axles for even power to both rear tyres!

At Tuff Car Parts, we have been using and recommending Torqueline products for years due to their combination of value, quality and reliability. A great example of this extra attention to detail is the Parkerizing surface protection process carried out during manufacturing.
Parkerizing is a method of protecting a steel surface from corrosion and increasing its resistance to wear through the application of a chemical phosphate conversion coating. This phosphate coating process is performed in a chemically balanced hot phosphoric acid solution via an autocatalytic reaction. The coating material is slightly ingrained into the surface for strong bonding as well as being added onto the surface. This coating as well as protecting the surface from corrosion, also serves as an extreme pressure lubricant during the break in period.
These are brand new high quality items - don't be fooled by cheap inferior or secondhand gearsets that give troubles and have strength issues.

- Mini Spools are fitted to an open centre diff (non-LSD). They will NOT fit LSD.
- Please note when fitting this unit, when reusing your original pins, you will only need to use 1 pin, the other does not get used.
- Suitable for all VN VP VR VS V6 & V8 Holden Commodore.
- Due to the wide range of housings and gears across the M78 differential range, pinion head may need to be machined down for correct clearance. This is the same for any performance LSD installation.
- In some rare cases, diff housing may also require some grinding for clearance.
- This is the same for any performance LSD or diff gear installation for these diffs.
- Non-Spigotted type pinion gear.
